It has been more than 7 years since Bangalore hosted the Giants International Convention at the magnificent Chowdiah Memorial Hall. My memory goes to the day, when Shri Lal Krishna Advani, inaugurated the Convention. Glorious years have passed and we have been given the opportunity to host the International Convention again. Many of our new members will wonder - why do I have to attend this Convention? What benefits does this bring to me? Is it a picnic? Is it really worth spending the money on travel, registration? Is it worth attending? The answer is that in meeting the requirements of service in reality and to make significant impact on the community we serve, concentrated efforts in a planned manner are essential. This Convention provides the platform to identify how we can move up in the ladder and ensure deserving Groups and members get due recognition for the services they have done during the year. We need now to identify and concentrate on the services areas as well as take up basic issues to re-gear and re-equip ourselves to qualify for effective contribution. This can be achieved by coming together, discussing issues, sharing knowledge and past accomplishments and the International Convention provides the stage for this. Of course, in addition to business, Giants International convention being the foremost international event of the year, fellow Giants and their families all over India and from abroad will have fellowship and fun. I am confident with your sincere support we will not leave any stone unturned and make this International Conference an event which will be remembered for many years to come.
